Pressure Injury: How to Develop an Effective Program

Pressure injuries continue to challenge healthcare facilities especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Implementing a pressure injury (PI) prevention program within an institution can lead to improved outcomes, lessen re-hospitalizations of patients while decreasing litigation exposure. For many the question remains; where, what, when, and how do I start. Our expert panel will share their experiences and discuss key components of an effective PI prevention program.

Frank Aviles Jr, PT, CWS, FACCWS, CLT-LANA, DAPWCA, and creator of the VWR concept, serves as moderator for this “Live” webinar series. For each program, Frank brings together an interdisciplinary panel of specialists and collectively seeks their individual expertise for diagnostic and treatment options around challenging wounds they are seeing for the first time.

The VWR program is designed to emulate a typical “rounding” process within a wound clinic in seeking the feedback of multiple specialists in ways to optimally treat and heal wounds.
