PURPOSE:
To inform users of the Medication Administration Training Program pre-requisite requirements.
To inform users that 2026 Medication Administration standard student courses and practicum observer courses are coming soon.
To inform users that a new e-mail subscription list for future Medication Administration communications is now available.

DISCUSSION:
Medication Administration Training Program Pre-Requisite Requirements
The Medication Administration Training Program administered by Temple is the only Pennsylvania department of Human Services approved medication administration course that may be used for the program types and chapters listed in the requirements documentation.

Supporting Pennsylvanians with developmental disabilities and their families to achieve greater
independence, choice, and opportunity in their lives.
You must be actively employed by a licensed eligible provider/agency/facility that falls into the program types and Chapters listed in the requirements documentation to be eligible to take any Medication Administration Training Program course.
Please note that this course is administered in English. Users should be able to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively in English to complete the Medication Administration Training Program course requirements.

2026 Student and Practicum Observer Courses Coming Soon
Updated Medication Administration Student and Practicum Observer Courses for 2026 will be released on June 1, 2026. After this date, new users will no longer be able to enroll in previous student courses. Learners who have already enrolled and begun the 2024 Student courses or the Practicum Observer course by June 1, 2026 may complete the courses by July 31, 2026. All other learners must enroll in and take the 2026 courses after June 1, 2026. Enrollment keys for classes that were already created will not work for the 2026 courses. Trainers should create new classes in the 2026 courses and use the enrollment key generated to enroll new users in the 2026 courses. More information regarding changes to the 2026 courses will be announced before June 1, 2026.
